- In many cases different projects encounter unexpected problems, even though careful planning has been done. In most situations it is possible to derive problems from a lack of communication. This study is done by reviewing structures in an organization in order to investigate why problems in communication arise. The study tries to identify methods that are believed to help minimize the errors.
The purpose of the thesis is to see whether it is the design of the communication that causes a project not proceed in the desired way, or if other reasons can be found. The conclusions that can be drawn is that there are problems with the difficulty of understanding and construction process in a project. The problem seems to be because there is a discrepancy between the parties in an organization, that they do not agree on what parts of a process are closed and when parts are still in progress. The discrepancy is probably due to the parties having different perceptions of how the process should proceed, and when something becomes definite. In addition, there are problems with communications since there are many, complicated, technical features that are difficult to understand for the members of the organization. However, the study shows that there is an awareness of problem in the organization and that the organization active works with minimizing them with the help of different tools, such as creating a common language in the organization and allow an openness in the organization.
