This study will discuss the role of e-commerce in the economic development of Vietnam during 1990 to 2020. This is a representative case, by looking at the direction of the trend of this sector, one can draw conclusions and predictions on how e-commerce development can help promote economic development in Vietnam. This will be done through a mixed method; entailing a qualitative research collected from various scientific articles, websites along with other literature. Whilst the other part consists of a quantitative method with data collected from various data bases and other statistical forums. The scope of the study reaches from 1990-2020, since it was in the 1990’s the Internet emerged. (Less)
