Furthermore, interview data were collected to analyze the change in women's status in patriarchy. The method used for the material is qualitative data analysis. This paper mainly takes Santos and Harrell's exposition of Chinese patriarchy as the theoretical framework. The study found that the increase in male violence against women in "hunnao" was due to the profound influence of Chinese patriarchy. The reason why various social subjects are more and more sensitive to this issue is the change of gender status in China's patriarchy and the improvement of women's self-consciousness. This trend is conducive to China's efforts to achieve gender equality. (Less)
