Methodology: A qualitative study was conducted to analyse different European multiregional supermarket corporations, and consumers from different countries with diverse backgrounds. A dual approach has been investigated to capture all the ins and outs of this complex topic.
Empirical Foundation: Nine independent interviews have been conducted: three food and beverage retail companies, and six European regular consumers. The analysis gives detailed information about both parts’ environmental practices and perception of sustainability in their actions. (Less)
