Frågeställning:
Vad finns det för motiv bakom utdelningarna i allmännyttiga kommunala bostadsaktiebolag i Skåne?
Om utdelning tas, vilka avvägningar och faktorer påverkar i så fall storleken av utdelning i allmännyttiga kommunala bostadsaktiebolag i Skåne?
Syfte: Studiens syfte är att med ett delvis explorativt synsätt bidra till en ökad förståelse om motiven bakom utdelning samt vilka faktorer som påverkar storlek på utdelningar i allmännyttiga kommunala aktiebolag.
Metod: För att uppnå studiens syfte har vi utgått från en kvalitativ metod. Vidare har vi använt allmänna offentliga handlingar, mer specifikt årsredovisningar, budgetar och ägardirektiv, vilket bidrar till vad som kommuniceras externt. För att få en djupare analys har även semistrukturerade intervjuer genomförts med anställda inom kommunen och allmännyttan.
Teoretiskt perspektiv: Studien tar utgångspunkt i agent-principal teorin, Public Choice Teori, Intressentteori, Institutionell teori
Slutsats: Resultatet går delvis i linje med den tidigare forskningen men där det måste utvecklas en bit för att passa in i hybridorganisationens kontext. Där vi drar slutsatsen att beslutet kring utdelning är en mycket mer komplex process för hybridorganisationer. Eftersom kommunerna måste arbeta för att tillgodose en god helhet i kommunen samtidigt som de vill bli omvalda.

Research question: what are the motives behind dividend payments in publicly owned municipal housing corporations in Skåne? If a dividend is paid, what considerations and factors affect the size of the dividend in publicly owned municipal housing corporations in Skåne?
Purpose: The purpose of the study is to contribute to an increased understanding, with a partially exploratory approach, of the motives behind dividend payments and what factors influence the size of dividends in municipal public utility companies?
Method: To achieve the purpose of the study we have employed a qualitative approach. Furthermore we have used public documents, specifically annual reports, budgets, and ownership directives, which contributes to what has been communicated externally To obtain a deeper analysis, semi-structured interviews have also been conducted with employees within the municipality and publicly owned municipal corporations.
Theoretical perspectives: The study is based on the agency theory, public choice theory, stakeholder theory, and institutional theory.
Conclusion: The result partially aligns with previous research, but it needs further development to fit into the context of hybrid organizations. It is concluded that the decision regarding dividends is a much more complex process for hybrid organizations. Municipalities must work towards achieving overall well-being in the community while also striving for re-election
