Abstract
In a global market with increasing competition, the need for efficient production
increases. By measuring production parameters, a company can identify efficiency
losses and thus prevent losses and create a more efficient production.
Unknown and unplanned downtime in a production process leads to disruptions and
losses in efficiency. Being able to identify the causes of and remedy downtime is

In a global market with increasing competition, the need for efficient production
increases. By measuring production parameters, a company can identify efficiency
losses and thus prevent losses and create a more efficient production.
Unknown and unplanned downtime in a production process leads to disruptions and
losses in efficiency. Being able to identify the causes of and remedy downtime is
therefore very important. The main reason for this thesis is to develop a stand-alone production monitoring system. This monitoring system measures several parameters in a production process, stores the information and visualizes it for analytical purposes.The implemented measuring system, has successfully collected and stored production
parameters in a SQL database. The system integrated an HMI, which facilitates various functions, including searching for production logs, editing logs, creating manual logs, and performing analysis of OEE and production parameters. The system incorporated
various components and functions to collect and analyze production data.
The system collects the necessary production parameters and calculates the OEE,
availability and performance of the roll cutting machine. The system's architecture, database storage and integration, with the SCADA system, enabled efficient data
collection, analysis and visualization. The results of this work contribute to the
understanding of designing effective systems for measuring production parameters and OEE in industrial environments, especially in the context of roll cutting machines. (Less)
