Abstract
The purpose of this study is to contribute to the understanding of how software engineers’ identification and motivation are impacted in both the post-Covid and post-acquisition business setting. Further we aim to discover how software engineers typically think in relation to motivation and identification.

This research contributes to literature on software engineers in relation to organizational identification and employee motivation by examining this specific profession’ characteristics as well as how they identify with their organization in a post-Covid & post-acquisition business setting. As well as how Software engineers are motivated in a post-Covid working-from-home business that gets acquired.
