- This thesis investigates the dynamics of crowdfunding especially in the green technology sector, by examining how the differences in national and cultural contexts influence investor contribution. A comparison is made between the UK and Germany under cultural, economic, and regulatory factors using crowdfunding campaigns of 60 green tech companies, split equally between the two countries. Findings reveal that the UK investors contributed higher average amounts than their German counterparts showing significant differences between the two countries.
