- Abstract (Swedish)
- This study analyses walking in three different city districts to see if there is any difference in walking that can be related to the structure of the district. The three districts analysed vary in structure, with one of them being historical, while the others being built in the 1970’s.
With the help of travel data, walking in the three districts are analysed regarding trip distance, distribution of errands and transport mode. In addition, a graphic analysis of the trips is made to find a correlation to the built environment.
The result gives some insight to travel distance and characteristics of a district that correlate to an increased use of walking
