A pluriverse case study of indigenous resistance among the Nasa people in northeast Cauca, Abya Yala

Abstract
Against a backdrop of social and political crises, the indigenous Nasa peoples from north and eastern Cauca engage in a strategy of resistance, which I argue is blossoming into an example of the pluriverse. Pluriversal politics revolve around the imperative and the options for alternatives to development which transform global hegemonic systems. Through a reflexive and attempted decolonial methodology, I document in the form of a case study the ways in which the Nasa forms of resistance might constitute a transformative initiative. This term is used by post-development thinkers to analyse instances of decolonial options and the pluriverse in practice.
