Multilingualism, Self-Perception and European Belonging: Erasmus Students’ Experiences of Language in Mobility

- Abstract
- This thesis explores whether people who participate in the European mobility program of Erasmus are capable of developing a bias due to the practice of different languages on a daily life basis. The research is also based on the three pillars that the Erasmus programme is built around: mobility, cooperation and support to policy development.
A semi- structured interview with participants to this educational program will allow one to get deeper into the personal experience of the attendants and to assess the Sapir-Whorf empirical basis.
Findings suggested that the theories used were able to match the correspondent answer to the interviews given.
