Pathways for agro-bioenergy transition in Ukraine

A conceptual framework – agro-biomass framework for organisation and action (ABF) – developed by the author applies a technology innovation system (TIS) approach, which is expanded to include four categories of analysis:
actors and networks, natural resources, technical resources, and non-technical components. Seven TIS functions are analyzed in relation to each category within UA’s bioenergy sector. The results are presented as constraining and facilitating factors for bioenergy in UA in relation to these functions. Strategies for the enhancement of each function are formulated, and recommendations to a variety of stakeholders to facilitate the transition to agro-bioenergy in UA are made. (Less)
