Successive terminations at increasing spin values governed by particle-hole excitations across the Z=64 gap
(2002) Nuclear Physics in the 21st Century. International Nuclear Physics Conference INPC 2001 610. p.830-834- Abstract
- High spin states in 66Dy isotopes with two protons outside the Z=64 closed shell are discussed. Bands terminating at higher and higher spin values are formed from successive proton excitations across this proton shell. These bands show specific features depending on the number of excited particles. Cranked Nilsson-Strutinsky (CNS) calculations show good agreement with experiment. Special emphasis is put on the formation of M1-bands in configurations with one proton hole
