ABSTRACT
The purpose of this essay is that, through a descriptive ethic study, with staff in an asylum

• Is there a correspondence between the Migration Board's ethical values and ethical
values in work with refugee children that staff at an asylum accommodation
experiences?
Through this study I have come to the conclusion that it is possible to obtain information
about ethical problems that may arise at work on an asylum accommodation through a
descriptive ethic study. The vital importance for the width and depth of the results are
dependent on number of interviews, number of asylum accommodation and how the
questions for the interview are formulated. It has been shown that ethical problems in work
with refugee children in the area that is about the professional role, insufficiency of the
social worker experiences, the interaction between social worker and the refugee children
and cultural differences. The ethical difficulties that the social worker raised in the
interviews can be traced to the principles of normative ethics. Migration Board’s ethical
value is in some regards the same ones as social workers take up during the interviews. To
obtain more detailed information concerning how the employees at the Migration Board
looks at the ethical difficulties in work with refugee children, it is necessary to conduct
interviews with staff from the Migration Board as well.
