Abstract
This study investigates the opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities to have a sexual active life. With the help of an observation, a group interview and seven qualitative interviews with staff and individuals with intellectual disabilities, I have sought the answer to this question. Through a theoretical framework consisting of Queer-, Crip- and Goffman's dramaturgical theory, I analyzed my informers' reports. The analysis shows that there are many different factors that restrict these individuals' ability to have a sexually active life, such as the design on the housing, and ambient standards.
