Rytmikstart - En kvalitativ studie av instrumentalförberedande rytmikundervisning vid en kommunal musikskola samt en kommunal kulturskola

Detta examensarbete syftar till att kartlägga rytmik som introduktion till instrumentalunder-visningen vid en svensk kommunal musikskola samt en svensk kommunal kulturskola. Studiens frågeställningar söker svar på rytmikintroduktionens innehåll, intentioner, likheter och olikheter med annan rytmikundervisning samt om det verkar finnas några skillnader mellan de elever som erfarit den förberedande undervisningen och de som inleder sitt instrumentalspel med mer traditionell undervisning. Till grund för arbetets frågeställningar ligger en nyfikenhet i hur en del av mitt kommande arbetsfält som rytmikpedagog kan se ut samt hur rytmikämnets eventuella inverkan på dess utövare kan te sig. Detta examensarbete syftar till att kartlägga rytmik som introduktion till instrumentalunder-visningen vid en svensk kommunal musikskola samt en svensk kommunal kulturskola. Studiens frågeställningar söker svar på rytmikintroduktionens innehåll, intentioner, likheter och olikheter med annan rytmikundervisning samt om det verkar finnas några skillnader mellan de elever som erfarit den förberedande undervisningen och de som inleder sitt instrumentalspel med mer traditionell undervisning. Till grund för arbetets frågeställningar ligger en nyfikenhet i hur en del av mitt kommande arbetsfält som rytmikpedagog kan se ut samt hur rytmikämnets eventuella inverkan på dess utövare kan te sig. I teorikapitlet presenteras rytmikens historia och innebörd. Där finnas också information om musik- och kulturskolan, lek,instrumentalundervisning samt hermeneutik och maieutik. In-samlingen av studiens data har utförts via kvalitativa intervjuer samt observationer av lektionstillfällen med rytmik som introduktion till instrumentalundervisning. Att den förberedande undervisningen kan uppfattas mycket olika och att dess innehåll innehar många likheter med annan rytmikundervisning, att uppfattningen av rytmikmetoden skiljer sig mellan informanterna samt att planering och samarbete kan vara avgörande komponenter i undervisningssammanhang, är några av de resultat som presenteras i arbetet. gelser behandlas dessa resultat i examensarbetets diskussionskapitel där också resonemang om rekrytering till musik- och kulturskolan samt framtida forskningsämnen förs. (Less)

This paper aims to identify the eurhythmics as an introduction to instrumental teaching at a Swedish municipal music school and a Swedish municipal cultural school. This study seeks to enlighten both the content and the aim of the eurhythmics introduction compared to other forms of eurhythmic teaching and to see if it might be any differences between the students who experienced the pre-teaching and those who begin their instrumental playing by more traditional teaching. This paper aims to identify the eurhythmics as an introduction to instrumental teaching at a Swedish municipal music school and a Swedish municipal cultural school. This study seeks to enlighten both the content and the aim of the eurhythmics introduction compared to other forms of eurhythmic teaching and to see if it might be any differences between the students who experienced the pre-teaching and those who begin their instrumental playing by more traditional teaching. The theory chapter presents the history of eurhythmics and the meaning of the method. Additional information about the Swedish municipal music and culture school, play, instrumental tuition and hermeneutics and maieutics is to be found. The collection of baseline data has been conducted through qualitative interviews and observations of lessons with eurhythmics as an introduction to instrumental tuition. That the preparatory teaching can be per-ceived very differently, and that its content holds many similarities to other eurhythmics teaching, that the perception of the eurhythmics method differs between the informants and that planning and cooperation may be decisive components within the teaching context, are some of the results presented in this study. These results are treated in the thesis discussion chapter, in relation to complementary observations. The effects on recruitment to the municipal music- and culture school as well as future research topics, are discussed. (Less)
