En kopp kaffe - eller mötet med tretton industrier i södra Sverige
(2011) In Diploma work IDEM01 20111Industrial Design
- Abstract (Swedish)
- This project aims to highlight the manufacturer
as an important asset in product development. In
order to design a product, it is necessary, especially
for industrial designers to have good knowledge
of the manufacturing technologies that are available
and to have knowledge of the working environments
in which our ideas are put into practice.
Increased cooperation between local actors opens
opportunities for a vital dialogue between producers,
designers and manufacturers.
During field trips to thirteen industries in southern
Sweden photographs and filmed material have
been created and collected. In addition, interviews
were conducted with industrial design students,
producers and a researcher in industrial transformation.

were conducted with industrial design students,

In the end, the project was focused on the meeting
with the factories and their workers. The importance
of an early dialogue in the designing process of
a product has thereby been discovered.
Prepared materials and adopted insights will be
summarized in a book and exhibition, free for
