Overall, we have found some commonalities as well as discrepancies among the approaches small firms and start-ups employ when staffing. And while some points like extensive use of personal networks or providing perks to attract talents are relatively the same for both tech start-ups and established firms, the former expose distinct specifications conditioned by the very nature of a new venture. The authors believe that this research will help current and future entrepreneurs with issues in hiring talents in technology start-ups, and the findings can act as a basis for further research to continue the modernization of this research field.
