Abstract
The purpose of this study is to create an inspirational knowledge base to enable future collaboration between music teachers and teachers of the social science subjects in secondary school. In this paper the following research questions will be processed: What are the possibilities of combining the social science subjects (Religion, History, Geography, and Civics) with music? What are teachers’ thoughts on cross-curricular work?
The method used in this study is qualitative interviews with four social science-subjects-teachers in secondary school. The results show a big variety in ideas for cross-curricular work, but the informants mostly refer to music and artists from the 20th century.
