Abstract (Swedish)
(Less)
Abstract
This is a case study of how nine ninth grade students and their music teacher have been working with composition. The element of composition is very uncommon in Swedish elementary schools, in spite of the fact that it should be a part of the assessment. This study is conducted in a school where they work extensivley with composition. The aim was to study the students and the teachers’ view on the process of composition and compare them with each other to identify opportunities of development. In order to answer my research questions about the informants rationale for their work with composition and the development opportunities that exist within the field of musical creativity, I conducted a qualitative study in the form of one observation... Among the development opportunities that I identified were digital tools for music creation, how the task should be designed and work progess. (Less)
