Mellan klaviatur och greppbräda: praktisk tillämpning av gehörs- och musiklära

Abstract (Swedish)
I detta arbete undersöks hur gymnasieelever med gitarr som instrument omsätter
kunskaper i gehörs- och musiklära till praktik. Syftet är att undersöka förhållandet
mellan teori och spel på det egna instrumentet och att identifiera metoder som kan
stärka interaktionen mellan teori och praktik. Arbetet grundar sig på en kvalitativ
studie utförd med elever från estetiskt gymnasium som informanter. Resultatet visar
att elever med elgitarr som huvudinstrument använder klaviatur för att förstå
musikteoretiska begrepp och har svårt att omsätta dessa kunskaper till gitarr. I detta
arbete finns också exempel på praktiska övningar för att hjälpa elever omsätta
teoretiska kunskaper till praktiskt gitarrspel.
Abstract
This study examines how guitar students in Swedish ”gymnasium” turn theoretical
knowledge into practice. The aim is to investigate the relation between theory and
performance on one’s instrument and to identify methods that can enhance this
interaction between theory and practice. The paper is based on a qualitative study
conducted with students as informants. The results show that pupils with electric
guitar as their main instrument still use the keyboard to understand music theory
concepts and have problems to transfer this knowledge to the guitar. There are also
examples of practical exercises to help students translate theory into practical guitar
playing in this paper.
