- Vertigo and dizziness are frequent symptoms among patients in primary health care. Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) is one common cause of dizziness with, for the patient, alarming symptoms. It is relatively easy to diagnose, with manouvertreatment or habituation-exercises as effective treatments. The treatment with either Semont or Epley manoeuvres is so effective that it often appears as a miracle to the patient. Knowledge about possibilities of diagnose and treatment is about to spread in primary health care.
