Abstract
Pancreatic pseudocysts often complicate the course of both acute and chronic pancreatitis. The management, if the pseudocysts are symptomatic, still remains a substantial clinical problem. Surgical drainage was prior to the introduction of ultrasound and CT more or less the treatment of choice.
