Closed-loop identification of first-order plus dead-time model with method of moments

Abstract
A new method is presented to estimate the parameters of two models commonly used in the process industry. The method is based on the method of moments for a general input signal. It consists of a level change in closed loop and if needed an open loop step experiment.
