The Treatment First model housing is based on control and requirements. Housing First is based on an emphasis on the relationship between the social worker and the client. Our paper presents results from a study with focus on the process of change from working with a Treatment first approach to a Housing first approach and how it affects the social workers professional role. The study is based on surveys and qualitative research interviews.
