(2024)- Abstract
- Nordic Raga is a project featuring three Swedish folk musicians—Mats Edén, Tina Quartey (replacing Dan Knagg), and Pär Moberg—who, together with Jyotsna Srikanth, explore what happens when Nordic folk music meets South Indian musical practice in arranging and improvising music. At this concert they played with:
Maya Youssef (SYR/UK) – Arabic qanun, a trailblazer as a female qanun player.
Jyotsna Srikanth (IN) – Carnatic violin, an internationally renowned figure in Carnatic classical music, fusion, and more.
