Human resource management, strategic organizational capabilities and sustainable development
(2016) In Corporate Environmental Management 2. p.152-168- Abstract
INTRODUCTION Human resource management (HRM) has an important role to play in corporate environmental management in supporting the success of environmental policies and programmes. Indeed, the sorts of changes advocated in this book are unlikely to succeed without the full support of human resource managers. Equally environmental initiatives and culture change programmes will not succeed without the full co-operation of all employees. One of the critical roles for the HRM function is therefore to motivate and include staff in the changes taking place.
