Förflyttning vid utrymning : en utvärdering av mätmetoder
(2016)- Abstract
- Accurate measurement of people’s movement patterns during evacuation requires appropriate data collection methods. This study examines three different methods, namely cameras placed above the crowd, triangulation using two cameras and distance measurements with laser scanners. Experiments were performed both in the laboratory and the field in order to evaluate the different methods. The results suggest that triangulation is a promising method that can yield movement pattern data with reasonable accuracy even for situations with low camera resolution and long distances between the cameras and the crowd. Laser scanners can also be used to get valuable data. One limitation is the scan frequency, which needs to be sufficient to yield data with... (More)

It is suggested that future research focus on improving the triangulation and laser scanner methods. (Less)
