Platformized Imaginaries: #SustainableConsumption on Instagram

Abstract
This study examines how Instagram’s platformized ecosystem shapes imaginaries of #sustainableconsumption. Using networked content analysis of 9,809 posts, we identify three platformized imaginaries—systemic sustainability transitions, ethical consumer lifestyle, and zero-waste living practices. Findings reveal how platformization constrains sustainable consumption discourses, embedding them within consumerist and platform logics.
