We then present and discuss the outcomes of the experiments with regional collaboratories and the general results achieved within the lifetime of the project. In the last part of the paper we discuss the results in more general terms and make some recommendations on how to make villages not only learning, but also innovative and creative, which indicates the need for a new framework for knowledge creation where place and people really matters.
