A Typology of a Forgotten Political Heritage

Abstract
This article outlines the historical significance of People’s Parks and Houses in Sweden, especially in the Öresund region, and examines how these spaces persist today as cultural heritage through four case studies highlighting how history is (and is not) reflected in the urban landscape. It emphasizes their roots in political movements and argues that these sites offer important insights into the role of social movements in sustaining democratic public life today.
