For some time, China has been investing considerable capital to increase its influence in many sub-Saharan nations, often rich in raw materials and resources considered essential for Chinese industrial growth. In this respect, a very interesting case concerns Tanzania, a significant African state facing the Indian Ocean that has recently established close relations with Beijing.
