Objectives: To explore differences in body structure and function in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) patients and controls, with particular reference to joint hypermobility, and to evaluate the usefulness of the Brighton criteria for diagnosing joint hypermobility syndrome (JHS) in SLE.
