Correlation attacks, convolutional codes, and iterative decoding

Abstract
This paper overviews new methods for fast correlation attacks on stream ciphers, based on convolutional codes. Identification of embedded structures of concatenated convolutional codes (both parallel and serial) in the shift register code, providing increased performance, is considered.
