- This entry examines the role of destination management organisations (DMOs) in influencing destination resilience through their communication efforts. In the dynamic landscape of destination management, DMOs play a crucial role in balancing destination marketing and management, tourism promotion and stakeholder interests. However, the surge in global crises such as COVID-19, natural disasters, and financial instability have significantly impacted the work of DMOs. To face adverse events, DMOs have taken on new roles and tasks to address ongoing situations. - Detta bidrag undersöker vilken roll destination management organisationer (DMO) har när det gäller att påverka destinationers motståndskraft genom sina kommunikationsinsatser. I det dynamiska landskapet inom destinationshantering spelar DMO:s en avgörande roll när det gäller att balansera destinationsmarknadsföring och -hantering, turismfrämjande och intressenters intressen. Den kraftiga ökningen av globala kriser som covid-19, naturkatastrofer och finansiell instabilitet har dock haft en betydande inverkan på DMO:s arbete.
