- Moisture properties of three mortars and three concretes with W/B 0.40 and different degrees of slag replacement has been determined. Desorption isotherms. were determined on thin slices in climate boxes. Moisture transport coefficients were determined with the cup method on well cured mortar discs and with the tin-can method on concretes cured for six months.
The desorption isotherms show an almost horisontal ”plateau” in the area around 85-95 % RH, sespeciallly with large slag replacement.
The moisture transport coefficients of mortars from the cup method are, as expected, somewhat larger than for the corresponding concretes because of the larger volume of mortar.
