Abstract
The following study has examined the relationship between subjective well-being and four key aspects of the student life in Lund: Social support, Self-efficacy, engagement in student organizations and alcohol consumption & attitude. The purpose of the study was to investigate how these factors interact with subjective wellbeing amongst students at Lunds University. The study used a quantitative survey design for data collection and in total 103 students from Lunds University participated. The survey was constituted by established scales measuring subjective well-being, social support, and self-efficacy, as well as self-constructed measures regarding alcohol habits and student engagement. The data was analyzed in jamovi using multiple linear regression analysis followed by an exploratory factor analysis. The results demonstrated a significant positive relationship between subjective well-being and both social support and self-efficacy. Students reporting higher levels of perceived social support and self-efficacy also tended to report higher levels of subjective well-being. However, no significant relationships were found between subjective well-being and alcohol consumption, attitudes toward alcohol, or student engagement. The factor analysis further indicated that most of the items used in the scales measured the correct construct. (Less)
Abstract (Swedish)
Totalt inkluderades 103 studenters svar i analysen. Enkäten bestod... (More)

Totalt inkluderades 103 studenters svar i analysen. (Less)
