- Studien syftar till att visa på metoder och perspektiv som på ett tillfredställande sätt beskriver musiklärarens väg till yrket och sin praxis. Två olika metoder för insamling av data används i studien, intervjuer och självbiografier. Studiens syfte är att visa hur man kan beskriva lärares väg till yrket och dess yrkespraxis genom en rad olika begrepp t.ex. kontextualisering, socialisation, folklig och borgerlig musikpedagogisk tradition. Jag gör själv ett försök att beskriva praxis genom det jag kallar ”den musikaliska språngbrädan”.
Intervjun och de självbiografiska studiernas resultat visar att musiklärarens praxis, precis som mina tidiga erfarenheter beskriver i inledningen, är något som inte enkelt låter sig verbaliseras. Resultatet visar att praxis är svår att fånga med endast en ögonblicksbild av hur läraren beskriver sitt arbete utan låter sig snarare beskrivas av lärarens samlade livserfarenheter. För att få en tydlig bild av praxis, med ett stort mått av validitet måste informanten beskriva vägen fram till yrket och hur den kan sättas i relation till de metoder och arbetssätt som läraren använder sig av. The results demonstrate that the practice is difficult to catch with only a snapshot of how the teachers describes their practice today, that you need to see to all experiences in the teacher’s life. The study shows that to get a full picture of the practice with a large measure of validity, the informant has to describe his way to the profession and not just the methods used in present time.
