Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur sångpedagoger praktiskt arbetar med interpretation, samt om det finns någon koppling mellan deras arbete med interpretation i förhållande till genrer. Det är en kvalitativ studie som är baserad på intervjuer med tre sångpedagoger samt observationer av deras respektive lektionsarbete. Resultatet visar att sångpedagogerna arbetar och ser på interpretation på liknande sätt där begreppen tolkning och uttryck är centrala. Metoderna som de använder sig av är baserade på texttolkning samt metoder för att uttrycka känslor. Trots att metoderna och synen på interpretation är liknande hos de olika pedagogerna så påverkas interpretationsarbetet av den genre som sångaren befinner sig i.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate how vocal teachers work with interpretation, and whether there is any connection between their work with interpretation in relation to genres. It is a qualitative study based on interviews with three vocal teachers as well as observations of their respective singing lessons. The result shows that the vocal teachers work with, and define interpretation in a similar way where the concepts of interpretation and expression are central. The methods they use are based on text interpretation and methods for expressing feelings. Although the methods and the view of interpretation are similar to the different teachers, working with interpretation is influenced by the songs genre.
