Abstract
The purpose of the study was to examine how police officers interacted with generational diversity and work experience, as well as how their interaction influenced the organizational culture in the Swedish Police. The researchers of this study further aimed to challenge the traditional view of solidarity between police officers and how it was reflected internally. The researchers therefore argued that the interaction between police officers based on generational diversity and work experience did have an impact on the overall organizational culture.

The research included a single case study of qualitative character that followed a constructive and abductive research approach. The empirical data consisted of ten semi-structured interviews... (More)

The empirical data consisted of ten semi-structured interviews at the case organization. The main theoretical framework used was literature within organizational culture, generational diversity and work experience. Additionally, the study drew upon the theory of organizational culture and the existing, although limited research on the interaction between generational diversity and work experience. (Less)
