Medvetandegjord pianoteknik: En kvalitativ studie om vetenskapligt motiverad pianoteknik
(2021) LIMP32 20202Malmö Academy of Music
- Abstract (Swedish)
- Abstract
- The purpose of this study is to, by using qualitative methods, examine the impact that a practical application of specific knowledge concerning the hand and forearm muscles, particularly keystrokes via the lumbrical and interossei muscles, can have at piano students' musical performance. The target group, piano students in an aesthetic program that practiced a somewhat advanced repertoire, was chosen regarding indications in previous research that highlight the importance of lumbrical and interossei muscles in a technically challenging repertoire. Based on previous research on anatomy and physiology of the lumbrical and interossei muscles and biomechanics in relation to playing the piano, the reported results of the study suggest that... Based on previous research on anatomy and physiology of the lumbrical and interossei muscles and biomechanics in relation to playing the piano, the reported results of the study suggest that these muscles are important for achieving a higher degree of control and beautiful sounds.
