Instrumental orättvisa i gehörs- och musiklära
(2021) LAMP72 20211Malmö Academy of Music
- Abstract
- I will in this research investigate third year high school students view on music theory education, more specific whether the students feel there is an existing overrepresentation of the clavier in the music theory education or not. The students give their view on whether the education works for them, and if they think the lesson structure benefits a specific group of instrumentalists. They also get the opportunity to share their own suggestions on a structure that could benefit all music students. My hope with this research is that it might illustrate a problematic with the eventual imbalance when it comes to featuring instruments in music theory education that only benefits a small percentage of music students.
