Let's Argue! Riding the Wave of Productive Dissonance
(2024) BUSN49 20241Department of Business Administration
- Abstract
- The purpose of this thesis was to explore how productive dissonance can
be cultivated in creative groups. Our investigation revealed three key elements are needed to foster this phenomenon: a balance of dissensus and consensus, diversity, and effective communication. The paper culminates in a further conceptualization of productive dissonance using the wave-particle duality analogy to understand the relationship between the aforementioned cultivating elements.
