A model of a micro-turbine line side converter

Möllerstedt, E. LU and Stothert, A. (2000) International Conference on Power System Technology, PowerCon 2000 2. p.909-914
Abstract

Power electronics systems such as converters are increasingly being used to connect small scale power generation systems to distribution networks. One result of such converter systems is the introduction of harmonics into the distribution system. This paper develops a generic converter and converter controller model that allows the investigation of the effect of converter controlled systems on distribution grids. The models are initially developed using simplifying assumptions, these assumptions are then relaxed and techniques for analyzing the more complicated system proposed.
