The second part of the essay focuses on how Greek thought meets Christianity and how thereby the concept of eros is transformed and receives new expression in the Craeco-Christian texts of Areopagite. Utterances of Plato and Areopagite on eros and knowledge are related to each other, and finally a synthesis... (More)

Utterances of Plato and Areopagite on eros and knowledge are related to each other, and finally a synthesis of the pedagogic content in their thinking is undertaken. It is this synthesis that here is called eros pedagogy from Plato to Areopagite. (Less)
