Hamid, Akram Abdul LU orcid ; Persson, Lovisa ; Linderholt, Linn and Johansson, Dennis LU (2023) 8th International Conference on Energy Research and Development, ICERD 2023 2023. p.170-183
Abstract

This study aimed to synthesize carbon dioxide, moisture, and heat emission load profiles in an overcrowded Swedish household. The study gathered realistic values for emissions from individuals and other household sources through an extensive literature review. It explored various aspects of daily routines, including showering, laundry, wet cleaning, dishwashing, cooking, and pets and plants. The study also examines the heat emission from human occupants and appliances, such as refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, TVs, computers, and lighting. Moisture sources and carbon dioxide emissions are also considered. Data from previous studies and surveys are used to determine the frequency and duration of the emissions. The results are... (More)

The results are presented as load profiles for heat, moisture, and carbon dioxide production throughout the day, accounting for different household sizes. The findings contribute to understanding overcrowded households' energy and environmental implications and can inform the development of sustainable building designs and energy-efficient systems to mitigate their impact.
