- Abstract
- Within the Nordic-Baltic SPEDUCULT project, a survey was sent to people and work places engaged in multisensory environments (also called MSEs or sensory rooms) in Sweden. Most of the respondents worked with individuals with intellectual disabilities, at centra for sensory stimulation, workplaces for daily activities, habilitation centra or schools. The answers to the survey came from 27 places in Sweden and described what happens in the sensory rooms, the equipment used, goals, methods, how the rooms are designed and the educational background of the staff. The results show that experience-sharing between work places, and learning from other staff engaged in MSEs, are the main strategies for aquiring new knowledge. There is no nationwide... (More)

De som svarade arbetade huvudsakligen inom verksamheter för personer med intellektuell funktionsnedsättning, såsom särskilda centra för sinnesstimulering, daglig verksamhet, habilitering eller skola.
