Religions of Europe : Selected Texts Presented at the Euroculture Intensive Programme 2021
Nykvist, Martin LU (2025) In Studies in Religion and Society 24.- Abstract
- This volume highlights the intricate relationship between religion, migration, and policy-making. It does so by investigating matters in different corners of Europe, from Iceland in the north to Spain in the south. With a clear focus on minority religions on the one hand and how Christianity is used to construct a European identity on the other, the authors provide insights into how different religious (and secular) communities navigate their identities and how religion is used to delineate social boundaries. Overall, these contributions underscore the ongoing negotiation between religious and secular values, offering a nuanced understanding of the evolving interplay between religion and politics in Europe.
