Verification of radome problems - Part I
(2018) In Technical Report LUTEDX/(TEAT-7262)/1-30/(2018)- Abstract
- This paper contains the analysis of the transmission problem with a spherical,
dielectric (possibly lossy) shell. The sources to the problem are located inside
the spherical, dielectric shell. Two different source configurations are investigated
- an off-center located electric dipole and a circular Huygens surface.
An exact modal series solution of the transmission problem is found and the
solution is numerically illustrated for a series of shell thicknesses. The accuracy
of the solution is tested by a power balance computation, which typically
gives at least 10 significant figures. - Abstract (Swedish)
