Based on a literature review and interviews with managers, the research question asks: What types of frustrations do managers experience when using digital collaboration tools? From the literature review, a taxonomy on digital collaboration tools was introduced, along with different types of frustration. This was integrated into a matrix framework that was used during the interviews with managers. The analysis of responses showed that managers mentioned numerous different reasons for being frustrated. From this, common themes of frustrations were grouped together. The two most recurring themes were a “lack of physical presence” and a “confusing work process.” (Less)
